Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, Creator of the heavens and the earth and of everything that is.

We believe that Jesus is the only Son of God and becomes our personal Lord and Savior through the new birth described in John 3.

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Father and the Son, are members of what believing Christians call the Trinity, one God in three persons. These three are of one substance and equally worthy of our worship. God's essential character trait is His holiness. We trust His love, His faithfulness, His mercy and all other attributes of His, because He is holy.

We believe that Jesus is True God and True Man.

We believe that Jesus was conceived in the Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit, was born as humans are born, lived a sinless life, suffered on the orders of secular authority; was scourged, crucified and died to pay the penalty our sins had earned. He rose from the dead on the third day; and is ascended into God’s Heaven, where He sits on the right hand of the Father, ever living to intercede for us.

The Triune Godhead is entirely and eternally worthy of glory, of our worship and of our greatest love.

The Bible came to us through the agency of the Holy Spirit, Who inspired men to write. It is the foundation and standard for our faith and living.

We believe God forgives sin freely, through the blood atonement of Jesus. God has designed us to live in Heaven with him forever.

We live in what Jesus called the First and Great Commandment, loving God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Loving others as we love ourselves is God’s royal law (James 2:8) and is a natural result of our right relationship with a loving God.
